During the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it’s easy to get stressed and even overwhelmed with a list of things to do…decorating, Christmas cards, shopping, preparations for hosting family and friends. A perpetual list maker myself, I have to remind myself of the reason for the season and to “Be Still” and reflect on God’s goodness. Instead of focusing on buying the right presents…To BE PRESENT! Presents will soon be tossed away or forgotten, but memories and traditions can last a lifetime and be passed down for generations.

While I greatly simplified the decorations this year, I still sent out a Christmas card. I didn’t have a single good shot of the entire family all together this year so I put together a collage.

Matt & I, Our middle son’s family, our oldest & youngest son, and our dogs.

Some of my most precious memories of Christmas’ past have been making cookies and fudge with my mom, brother & sister when I was young…and then in turn making cookies with my boys when they were little. Below is their favorite cookie recipe Peanut Butter Kisses which I still make every year & look forward to making with our granddaughter next year!

Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year!
